Green Infrastructure Partners- Prairie Division "GIP" (Formally Nelson River Construction) is hiring motivated Loader Operators for our Asphalt Division for the 2026 Construction Season.

Summary
Reporting to the Foreman, the Loader Operator is responsible in providing quality services for a wide array of road projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Executes the daily plan and work sequence under the direction of the Foreman
- Performs high-quality work according to specifications
- Exercises strong logical/critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills
- Communicates effectively with Foreman and other crew members
- Ensures tools & equipment are constantly kept in a safe, operational condition
- Completes assigned tasks in an effective, safety-conscious manner
- Proper machine start-up and shutdown knowledge/practices
- Clean and perform basic maintenance to equipment
- Report malfunctioning equipment to supervisors
- Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as assigned, including physical labour
- Ensure that safety standards are met
Job Requirements
- Class 5 Driver’s License & current drivers abstract
- Able to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with loader/dozer in the context of road construction
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Have a strong work ethic ensuring commitment to the team
- Must be self-directed and able to work with little supervision
- Punctual and available to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Participation in other tasks as part of the team when not operating equipment
- Working in inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.
Successful candidates must be willing to work out of town and in remote locations in a camp environment. Accommodations may vary between hotels and camp depending on location of job and candidates home location. Candidates must be willing to stay in either accommodation.
